Looking for you, God in my ordinary circumstances, I become more focused on connecting with You and less focused on my own circumstances. The day goes smoother. I am aware of things I might otherwise miss. I am more me when I am with you Lord. You are in every detail. I have only to open my eyes to see that. At times, I look back in gratitude for “what You have already done,” but today, there was immense gratitude in recognizing You in the moment while You are “doing.”
Today Lord,
I found everything I needed at the grocery store because You provided it.
I heard a great message because You provided the words and raised up a good teacher.
I found my car was full of gas because You gave me a husband who loves me, who knows I do not like stopping for gas, and who looks after me in a multitude of ways.
I was less impatient with others because with You by my side, I am reminded how much You love them.
I was grateful for each “win” as opposed to feeling like a failure because I only accomplished 10 things instead of 100. You reminded me that You arrange my days before me, and therefore my successes are sufficient.
I was acutely aware of Your presence in the crispness of the air in my lungs, the warmth of the sun on my face, and the beautiful blue color You chose for the sky. I felt joyful knowing You created it all with me in mind!
In the normal, You gave me glimpses of how You have covered my life with love and grace. Your past and current faithfulness, coupled with future promises remind me that You love me and that You always make a way.
How is God showing up in your everyday, every day? I know even in good and hard times, He is providing for and making a way for you too. We believe Taylor’s scholarships are a way God provides. Maybe He’s speaking to you today and saying nominate someone or apply for a scholarship to a father-son camp at Christ in the Smokies, or a Boy Scout High Adventure camp. It would be our great honor to be a part of your day as well.
