
During Taylor’s short time on earth, he made a big impact on other’s lives because of the core values he held dear. Scholarships through the foundation are a way of continuing that impact with future generations of men.
Christ in the Smokies offers several programs to support and enrich the masculine journey. Current scholarships offers nominees access to “Passage to Manhood” or “Way of Wisdom” retreats. These events take place in the mountains of North Georgia helping men in all seasons of life, to gain understanding of manhood from God’s perspective, identify the common challenges every man faces, and learn how to live out “Authentic Manhood” as exemplified by Jesus Christ. Through stimulating outdoor experiences, woven together with a powerful, biblical curriculum each participant will:
- Experience great fun and adventure, creating priceless memories.
- Deepen relationships through trust, respect, communication, and love.
- Heal emotional wounds of the past through forgiveness and understanding.
- Pursue an exciting vision for their life.
Accommodations are held in a private retreat location. Scholarship fees include:
- Excellent lodging
- Delicious, filling meals from dinner on day of arrive through breakfast on the last morning
- All adventure activities
- All specialized outdoor equipment (packing list will be provided for personal items to bring)
- All adventure books and materials
- A fun, powerful and effective curriculum
- Memories to last a lifetime
Eligibility Requirements:
- Nominee is committed to attending. (Please confirm this before submitting form.)
- Age 50 or older
- Is a Christian, or has a desire to understand “Why am I here?” through a biblical perspective
- Nominee can submit for self or by another adult leader, pastor, or mentor
- Has a love of the outdoors
