The Taylor Strickland Legacy Foundation will recognize Star, Life or Eagle Scouts who go over and above exemplifying the character traits that made the biggest impact on Taylor’s life; namely: duty to God, leadership, outdoorsmanship and service to others.
Once the form has been submitted, information will be confirmed, and then the Scout will be entered into the process for consideration. A previously nominated Scout may be re-nominated.
Deadline: March 31, 2026
Requirements:
- Star, Life or Eagle Scout (rank earned before application is completed)
- Is a Christian or seeking faith answers (please be prepared to share more about this in the interview process)
- Readily exhibits leadership and service to others
- Scout must be available/confirmed to participate date of the trip
- Nomination is to be submitted by Scout’s official Scout Leader, church leader or parent/legal guardian. If nominated by parent/legal guardian who is also the nominee’s Scout Leader or church leader, an additional non-relative and scouting reference to attest to nominee’s character is required. A Scout may apply but must include statement attesting to character by official Scout Leader and or other references.
- Applicant must be approved by the Scout Master, and his Troop must be amenable to receiving and disbursing funds from TSLF to the Scout.
- Scout must be available for interview before scholarship is awarded, and on return from trip.
